Trusted Contractors UK is a new trade association for UK contractors. Every member is reviewed against published criteria before they can join, and anyone can check a member's LiveBadge™ to see whether their membership is active today.

£28 a month + VAT
Billed annually at £336 + VAT. You only pay once you're approved.
For homeowners
Find contractors who have been checked, and check them again before and during the job.

- Check any member's LiveBadge to see if their membership is active right now
- Report a concern about a member. We'll tell you what action we've decided to take within 5 working days
TCUK checks members against its criteria. Any contract for work is between you and the contractor.
How we check members
Every application is reviewed by our team against six criteria. Membership is only issued once all six are met.

Verified identity
Photo ID, in date, in the name of the person applying.

A genuine UK business
Checked on Companies House where the business is registered there.

12 months' trading
At least a year in business, backed up by records and references.

£1 million insurance
Public liability cover of at least £1 million, kept up to date.

Registered where required
For regulated work, such as Gas Safe for gas engineers.

Two references
From recent customers, and we contact both.
